Better than a cup of coffee
Morning meditations wake up your body, mind, and soul.
To get the most out of your session, here are a few suggestions:
- Listen to this meditation in a quiet setting where you can relax free of distraction.
- Use audio headphones and keep the volume low
As you meditate, you might find your mind wandering. This is a normal process.
Remember, the purpose of meditation is to teach your mind to stay still. Your mind is like a pot of water. When you are awake, it is as if the water is boiling with activity, thoughts and ideas. The purpose of meditation is to teach your mind to be still. Meditation turns the heat of the water, and lets the water come back to rest. It cools the water down until it is still and calm.
If you notice your mind wandering, calmly let any thoughts gently drift away and bring your mind back to stillness.
Also remember, the more you practice meditation, the easier and easier it gets to let go and relax.
